The 4th of February 2013 was a day of cultural, scientific and historical significance for Great Britain. The University of Leicester held a press conference where they confirmed through DNA testing and radiocarbon dating, that the remains they had discovered buried beneath a Leicester City Council car park, were in fact those of King Richard III, whose body had been lost for over 500 years.
We filmed the conference at the University of Leicester where the announcement was made public for the first time, with the news instantly garnering international attention from many major news outlets, we also captured interviews with political and academic authorities to document the discovery and it’s historical importance.
